Today on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we remember the children who were lost, the resilient survivors of residential schools, and the lasting impact this history has had on generations of Indigenous peoples across the country.
As His Majesty the King’s representative in Alberta, I offer my heartfelt thanks to everyone who is a part of this important work, of ReconciliACTION – taking steps toward healing. Together we can all create a future built on respect and understanding by continuing the journey of learning, listening, and committing to meaningful reconciliation.
