October 11th marks the United Nations International Day of the Girl and introduces “My Voice, Our Equal Future” as a focus for the year to come. I’d like to recognize all girls, and those who support them, for everything you do to ensure that girls’ voices and futures are as strong and vibrant as they can possibly be.
To girls in our communities, I encourage you to dream big and to always share your voice with confidence. If you make education a priority, study hard and work with others to build strong teams, there’s nothing you can’t achieve!
To the individuals and organizations across Alberta dedicated to creating a better life for girls, here at home and around the world, I offer my heartfelt thanks for your sustained energy and commitment. Together we can ensure that all girls have the tools and the encouragement they need to grow into confident, resilient and innovative leaders of tomorrow.
