During this special season, our thoughts often turn to the festive treats and traditions that we look forward to sharing with family and friends. But this year, in particular, I think we can also find comfort in the simple pleasures that life brings us, even in the most challenging times.
We can draw energy and inspiration from the peaceful beauty of winter by walking in the crisp air, with snow crunching under our feet and birds chirping overhead.
We can experience the uplifting power of music, which I find particularly moving when young voices come together in song.
Above all, we can spread joy this holiday season simply by sharing the power of a smile and a kind word with the people we meet…and we can give thanks for all the caring souls in our communities who are finding ways to make life just a little bit better for others.
My wish for each of my fellow Albertans this holiday season is that you find peace in life’s many blessings…and I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
