Upon request, the Lieutenant Governor sends greetings to Albertans celebrating birthdays of 80 or more in intervals of 5 years, and to couples celebrating wedding anniversaries of 50 years or more. To request a greeting, complete the Greeting Form and send it to the contacts listed on the form. Please send your request eight to twelve weeks prior to the date required. Please also note we are no longer able to accept requests by fax.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II sends messages to Canadians who are 100 years of age or older, and to couples who have been married for 60 years or more. These are issued by the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General of Canada. For more information visit Governor General Congratulatory Messages. Send your request six to twelve weeks before the event to ensure the message arrives on time. Messages from the Queen are mailed two weeks prior to the event.
