One of the greatest gifts of my role is the abundant opportunity it brings to learn from, and celebrate with, various groups across our province. I meet with people representing every facet of Alberta’s very rich multicultural and multi-faith identity, and despite the unique gifts that each group brings to the table, I am always struck by their shared commitment to building strong and welcoming communities. Heritage Day is a tribute to the spirit of diversity that sits at the heart of who we are as a province and country. It is a chance for each of us to share our stories, to learn from one another, and to renew our commitment to building a warm and inclusive society for all.
