On this International Day of Peace, the theme is Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for the #GlobalGoals. It is a reminder that individually we can create a much better world for our collective communities through small actions.
In every compassionate act, kind word or moment of sincerity, there is an opportunity to build a more respectful and understanding world where we can all live together in peace. My hope is that we will always strive to give and to receive peace with open hearts and minds, and act together to create a bright and beautiful future.
As His Majesty the King’s representative in Alberta, I offer my heartfelt thanks to the thoughtful leaders, volunteers and community members at all levels who are taking essential steps to foster understanding and peace, both here at home and around the world.
