Alberta's 2021 New Year's Day Levee Cancelled
In keeping with current restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lieutenant Governor will not be hosting the traditional New Year’s Day Levee for 2021.
National Honour for Alberta Volunteers - Fall 2020
Lieutenant Governor Lakhani presented the Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers to 14 dedicated Albertans in a series of small group, individual and online ceremonies held in Edmonton and Calgary and via Zoom from November 9 to 24. All COVID-19 protocols were strictly observed throughout.

Lieutenant Governor Lakhani regrets that she will not be hosting an outdoor levee on New Year's Day, due to the cold forecast for January 1, combined with current precautions surrounding the COVID variant of concern.
